Meow Wolf opened this weekend in Grapevine Mills. I’m wondering if it’s worth the ticket price. No spoilers please but does anyone know how long it takes and if it’s worth the ticket price (general admission is $50 each so $200 for our family of four). Our kids are 10 and 14, are they in the right age range to enjoy it?

I’ve only been to the one in Denver but there’s really nothing else quite like it. They are all themed and full of wildly imaginative art and stories. They all have secret places and hidden areas and really encourage you to play and let your inner child run free for a bit. I think it’ll blow their minds (in a good way).

    Edit: Damn bots. 🫠

My wife and I just went to the one in Denver and it was really cool. If it is anything like that 10 and 14 year olds would have a good time. Though it might be tricky to stay as a group of 4. We spent 3.5 hours exploring and clue hunting. There is a lot of changing directions and getting lost and small passages. Splitting or pairing up would work well.

If this one comes with the optional $3 card, get it. Get one for each group that will explore together ie if two people are going to stay together though they don’t each need one. In Denver the card was swiped at various stations hidden all over and they revealed the story behind all of the off the wall setting and art. It would not have been nearly as fun if we were not hunting these out and learning about the back story as we went.

We are excited to go see what this one brings.

TLDR: It is worth the ticket price. Get the $3 card. Spend the whole afternoon there.
