I noticed on the geocaching map that an area that used to have some caches is now opened up again, and I have had an idea for a multi brewing that I couldn’t execute because of lack of space, so I went to the area and grabbed several sets of coords roughly where I thought some good spots were, went home and submitted them with the note letting the reviewer know I was just checking if the area was good, no caches there yet, and days later I got the green light.
It is taking me longer than I expected to build the multi and get it squared away, not to mention some really bad flooding weather preventing me from (driving to) fine-tuning my coords.
I’m good as long as the reviewer is good, right? I am not breaking some unspoken rule about placeholding? First come, first serve? I am actively trying to get this cache out (lots of waiting for things to dry) not idly saving some spots for future use. I have seen well-made caches that were tailored to their environment; surly they didn’t make the cache and hope the area opened up when they went to put it out, right? They did what I did, I hope. Thoughts?
