First time parents. I’m having a scheduled c section due to preevia. My husband refuses to put our very active 50lb dog at the sitter while we’re at the hospital and “finds it hard to believe” that there won’t be “plenty of downtime” to drive 20/25 mins (each way) home to let the dog out two or three times a day. I might be in the hospital 3/4 days if there is hemorrhaging which there is a high risk of. He is not worried at all about missing first feeding, diaper change, first bath, nothing. Not worried about me in the least. “You’ll have plenty of nurses there, you won’t be alone”.

I should add he is also going away for 3 days to a race the weekend before the c section.

AITA for telling him that I’m feeling like I’m (and our baby) are at the bottom of the list here?
