Let me begin by saying I don’t condone this behavior at all, but at the same time, part of me is pretty proud.
My son (7) was messing around in class and didn’t follow the instructions when the teacher said to put everything except a particular packet in their folder. So the teacher corrected him, asking him again to put everything except his packet in his folder. He complied this time. The teacher led them through some steps in the packet. On the second page, she noticed he wasn’t doing the work. She asked him why he wasn’t doing it and he replied that he didn’t have a pencil- she had told him to put everything in his folder.
Edit to add- okay, a big part of me is proud and this is totally something I would do. I just didn’t want people saying I was letting my son be naughty in school. 😊
