U.S. I’ve bought monero before but the landscape was vastly different so I’m coming at this new. After trying to find a good hot wallet, I settled on cake (used to use MyMonero) and I want to avoid KYC. I do not have any other coin so LocalMonero is really off the table. The price to do CashApp, Mail, etc is usuallt inflated from the current listing price. I’d still not like to be fucked on price. Plus, I really don’t want to do by mail at the moment. I can buy crypto on cake, using a credit card. This, ideally, would be bought using a masked card so merchant does not know my credentials; I’ve searched this sub pretty extensively but I get mixed opinions and some haven’t been directly answered.
- I’ve seen LTC mentioned as the default to exchange to XMR. Why?
- I would be linking the exchange coin to me if I bought using a card but I would want to use LocalMonero to exchange to XMR. To clarify, this would effectively give me anon xmr/xmr not linked to me?
- Does Cake allow prepaid cards? Ex. Visa. I do not the basics of securing your crypto(cold wallets) but any advice on this would be helped. Haven’t done much research on this as I don’t have any to secure.
