It really creeped me out. Can Evrenol is well known commercial director here and can see the influences in the film. But the father’s acting was terrible for me because i know how must be sound in our language but overall it was creepy film. I was a little bit surprised that Baskin is well-known worldwide because i’m a big horror fan and i was really hesitated to watch it all of these years. I watched ironically because of suggestions here.
And yes, generally we believe after life but couldn’t find the connection with Turkic-folkloric elements. Maybe you guys can enlighten me idk. We believe and really creep the dark magic too since shamanic times. Plus, if you want to discuss the end, i’m in. Because it was confusing too.
Overall, i praised Can Evrenol and feel proud that we can make a film like that as between fellow contemporary film artists worldwide.
Please note that as you see, my native language isn’t english so i can make some grammar mistakes.
