I know this isn’t exactly piracy-related, but in the interest of circumventing subscription-based programmes with free alternatives I thought it would be welcome here.

For anyone who frequently works with PDFs and doesn’t want to support Adobe’s pricegouging, Foxit PDF Reader was an amazing alternative, providing a range of editing functions for free. Unfortunately, they have decided in their most recent update to remove these editing functions and instead release a new subscription service called “Foxit PDF Editor” ().

While it’s disheartening to see this amazing app go down the paywall shitter, I thought I’d let anyone else who works with PDFs know that the earlier version with all functionality unlocked can still be downloaded here:
