Three months ago I wrote this post about this being such an inclusive community. I am still grateful for all the encouragement we received, and we just came back from our 240 km, 5-day pilot test of whether we like bicycle touring. We loved it! It was a great adventure. We found rain, mud, wind, and also sunshine. We slept in two different old olive mills turned into hostels. We went through different landscapes. We saw an old aqueduct, many long abandoned train stations, some old train stations now turned into hostels or restaurants, we crossed tunnels (the longest of which is 2.3 km) and bridges, and we met some fellow cyclists along the way. We are now thinking about what our next bicycle adventure could be. Thank you again!
