I managed to find only few youtube videos showing this and like one reddit post. I usually like lowering resolution more than other settings and it gives me much much more stable framerate when I play at like 1024x768 on my laptop. I also don’t mind 50fps because it’s smooth but I can see myself enjoying 40fps at 40hz refresh rate because it has to be hella smooth. So I need straight anwers here: Is deck powerful enough for this? AAA games are my priority and SD gameplays look pretty bad, not in terms of visuals but when it comes to fps stability. I’ve never seen a pc or a console go from 45 to 25 fps and back so quickly and oh it does introduce unbearable freezes and stutters. Even when people would use the 40hz/40fps option. Also I heard that SteamOS built-in frame limiter is as garabage as vsync, which I always try to avoid and instead use the best tool that’s happened to pc gamers: RivaTuner. So, does rtss work on SteamOS and if not, how well Windows works?
