Greg Eslinger attended the University of Minnesota and was a four year starter at Center for the Golden Gophers from 2002 to 2005. The Sporting News named him a freshman All-American, FWAA named him an All-American in 2004. Eslinger was a 3x First-team All-Big Ten (2003 to 2005) and was a unanimous All-American in 2005. He also won the 2005 Outland trophy for best interior lineman, the 2005 Rimington for the nation’s best center, the 2005 Jim Parker Trophy (awarded by the touchdown club of Columbus to the top offensive lineman) and the 2005 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the year.

He was drafted in the 2006 NFL draft (198th overall) and was All-NFL Europa in 2007 which I didn’t know was a thing. His NFL career never really took off but hey, at least he didn’t have to endure the Tim Brewster era of Minnesota Football.
