I work at this office where everyone seems so cool and fine, exchanging gifts from time to time, keeping it positive, happiness is in the air, no complaints, no gossips. What could go wrong, right? …Well, that was too much for my introvert ass, and I always felt like that company lives inside a big cringe ball, but I was like come on, why don’t you try and enjoy all the positivity, so I gave it a go for a while. Then it came time for a meeting and opinion exchange, everyone was like : everything is perfect in the company but we need to work on ourselves more and be more efficient… I was the only one who dug up some negative points, huge mistake, I made the sect angry xD since then I feel like I’m being pushed to quit, even by the furniture in my desk. Atmosphere changed, the family wants better members, those who don’t mind a salary that didn’t change after 5 years, and expect you to overwork, and work even on weekends when there’s load, they want you to fully commit to them and prioritize work over your family needs. There’s a big surge of self help induced toxic positivity. Complaints, constructive criticism, and feeling bad from time to time is OK and healthy, don’t force positivity. How can you feel good if you don’t feel bad ? And remember family and mental health come first. Financial struggle is temporary, losing your family and or mind is not.
