Original Title: RIP Bob Beerbohm. Bob was a pioneering figure in the comic book retail world, both as a store owner and convention seller. Bob was also largely responsible for the identification of many seminal books in the Platinum and Victorian Age, including Obadiah Oldbuck as the first US comic book.

Bob cowrote the Victorian and Platinum Age sections of Overstreet. He was a passionate comics historian and was tireless in promoting knowledge and understanding about the roots of this medium we love. He died earlier today after battling cancer for the past few months. As of yesterday he was still posting about comic history on FB.
