Hello Guys,
I’ve been strugling finding out which Linux distro is good for Software Developers. My Stack would be mainly Microsoft Windows Technology: Asp.net core, .net 8, React, git, openVpn, MS teams, Jet Brains Rider IDE.
Does someone has good experiences for developers in NixOS? I actually like the idea of managing the packages (and entire Nix Distro actually) with *.nix files and putting them into git and use Home-Manager + Flakes … but I think its at the sametime a drawback of time you need to put in, in case you upgrade to some new techstack like Flutter? or Mobile Development… I want to actually do development and not always mess up with .nix files, what is your experience at this point?
ahh and how do you update apps - i.e.: Vscode take newest version?
thanks in Adcance happy coding
