I’m a college student in computer engineering, and have about $2000 to spend on a laptop since my Asus ROG g14 isn’t cutting it with battery life, and sounds like a jet engine when I try to get any amount of work done with Blender, and Fusion360. I’m considering an M3 Macbook Pro 14 inch with 16gb of ram, and 512 gb in storage. But for the same price, I can get a Framework laptop with a Ryzen 7, 32gb of ram, 2tb of storage, and a Radeon 7700s. The size of the laptop isn’t really a concern for me, and I’m currently torn between a Framewokr 16, due to it’s repairability, and modularity, and a Macbook Pro, for it’s battery life, efficiency, and overall performance. I just want to get my money’s worth with a laptop that can last me for the next 4-5 years. I had a Framework 13 and was planning on getting an eGPU for it, but but I sold it to someone at school they didn’t want to wait 3-4 weeks for the pre-order. I really don’t want a framework 13 anymore, since I do need a good GPU for my laptop.
