I grew up in Houston, and moved to DFW a couple years ago for work. I was really hesitant to do that because I had this idea that it would be a downgrade from living in the Houston area. I of course ended up taking the leap of faith, and boy am I glad. Dallas is SO much better than Houston in every way. It is nicer, more modern, less congested, safer, and has better weather. When I go to Houston to visit my family, I just notice how dirty and run-down everything there is. I may be from Houston, but I’m happy to be in DFW now. It seems like much better place for me to settle down and hopefully raise a family in the near future. Anyone else here from Houston? What are your thoughts on Dallas? Do you like it better than Houston?

Edit: Although I am acclimating and assimilating well to Dallas, I refuse to support the teams. I will always be a ‘Stros, Texans, and Rockets fan. I like the Stars though, mainly because we don’t have a hockey team in Houston. I went to a game a few weeks ago and was told that was a rite of passage to becoming a Dallasite.
