Just saw the news about the governments focus on improving attendance at schools. It was quite a shock to hear how low our attendance rates were. I’ve not long been out of highschool but certainly don’t remember attendance A: being that bad or B: causing that much trouble anyones education. People tended to just get the work done in their own time much like at university.

I’m curious, those who are currently in highschool but have poor attendance, why? Do you find it has an impact on your education at all?
