Well I did it.

I originally had a OG steam deck. Sold that and bought an ally right away when the ally came out. Pretty damn good performance for a handheld. However, the battery is so abysmal you really can’t go anywhere without a charger. VRR is amazing to have. And many other things I enjoyed.

HOWEVER, I’ve been pondering on getting a oled SD since that was announced. And man… I finally pulled the trigger. The ally recently got a bad amd patch and took forever to figure out the issue, that was the tipping point for me(among other things throughout the time I’ve had the ally).

No regrets. The screen is amazing, I missed having pause and resume on sleep, I have an actual working sd card slot…the battery actually is lasting 5-6 hours…

In summary, if anyone else is on the line. Do it. The SD oled is so worth it.
