I was watching the original Spy Kids just now for the first time in 20 years, and I identify with the parents in a way that I obviously couldn’t when I was a kid myself. They’re even good at being parents, to boot.

What’s your favourite movie (and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a kids’ movie) where at least one of the parents is clearly cool as hell but the kid is too much of a kid to realize it?
