I get it, when someone asks for a tech mod pack GTNH is the meme answer. In fact, many people would say it’s the best modpack out there! This is subjective though.

There’s commonly an argument that GTNH is just better than nomifactory, another modpack built around gregtech. However, a great gregtech experience can be had in nomifactory, nomifactory ceu, or, for a more Greggy experience, nomifactory ceu expert mode.

For me, I don’t see a point in starting a game that I will never finish. I have a wife, a job, and school to worry about, I like my games to end eventually.

Not everyone will want to spend hours finding specific food to no longer need to manage hunger in what is portrayed as a tech modpack. Most people wouldn’t in fact. I wasted 40 hours in GTNH because everyone here suggested it, only to find that the early game “tech” takes hours to get into.

I’m mainly posting this because it’s something I wish I knew beforehand, not to hate on GTNH, I get that many people love it.
