So I’m a new player and obviously my micro sucks big fat nuts. I’ve been playing around here and there but I’ve noticed that 90% of the time my games end in “bigger number better person” type fights.
I figured this game would be more skirmish based, having a few different squads of dudes that you control over the map, attacking from different angles, flanking. Yada yada yada.
I don’t really see this type of gameplay emerging too much especially because of this scenario:
Let’s say you have a distraction main force and a flanking secondary force.
Let’s say you successfully distract and your flankers come in, the opponent takes opponents away to deal with this flank and the flank dies. Now keep in mind you’re trying to control both simultaneously and can’t really do fine control maneuvers at my level. Most likely your main force survived but your flank dies, now they just bum rush your base and take it right?
I’m just wondering if the game doesnt work like this because of my elo or if it’s just not super valuable to control strike squads
