My (20f) cousin Jack (18m) broke his arm trying to do some stupid skateboarding stunt. It was absolutely ridiculous omfg his girlfriend recorded it and after watching it, I’ve lost some respect for him. There was no way it wasn’t going to end badly.

His parents grounded him but let him go out after a while and guess what he did? Another stupid stunt WITH the broken arm. It didn’t do a lot of damage but Jesus Christ. Safe to say, his parents don’t trust him at all.

Jack’s upset because he’s 18 and he’s literally an adult now and no one his age gets grounded but his parents said that he’s clearly too immature to be treated like an adult and I actually agree.

Now his friend was throwing a party this last weekend and Jack wanted to go bad. He can’t sneak out with the broken arm so he asked me to cover for him since his parents love me and trust me.

I said no. He’s clearly proven to be quite the idiot and I’m not going to be held responsible for whatever happens. Also, he’s definitely planning on drinking and smoking and I don’t think that’s a good idea considering he’s reckless af and has a broken arm.

He was very upset with me and called me an uptight loser. He also said I’m “playing favorites” because I helped his twin sister out with something similar. I essentially replied to him with “there’s a clear difference between you and your twin, she’s not a fucking idiot.”

He got really angry and well my family went to his family’s house last night and he was giving me the angriest look the whole night. He literally tried to skip dinner just to avoid me. AITA because he tends to get over things quickly but is still very hung up on this?
