I live in eastern EU. People on Re||ddit post 24000 USD medical bills (after insurance deduction) for like, very basic medical treatment. Thats like 3 years of average income in my country. I just can’t understand how people are even able to get thru this without needing to sell their house. I get payment plans, but an average american gets like 2 of theese bills/ year, or atleast once no? Wouldn’t the payment orders stack up after a while?
