Sup, server side ads are here and they have finally affected my main account. My YouTube feed is a massive steaming shit most days as the ai’s constantly try and deliver me a fresh dump straight from the content mill. That said there is still good shit on there so here’s a workaround while there’s still something on the platform even worth watching.

Step 1.

Download the following extension for your browser of choice.

User-Agent Switcher and Manager

(I’m not going to link it, you new bros need to learn how to search and stop waiting to be spoon fed a link)

Step 2.

Within the extension set your User-Agent to Edge, Edge 15.15254

(Other versions may work but this one does so start with that)

Step 3.

Apply to all windows

Step 4.

Reload anytabs that are still loading ads. You still need the normal ad/tracking blockers in conjunction with this workaround.

That’s fucking it, enjoy it while it lasts or until a better solution comes out. Be aware spoofing your User-Agent string may fuck up some websites, use the white/black list in the extension as necessary.
