I used to use IE mode with Edge as a workaround for WebP so I could keep the original image format and metadata, but now images won’t even load as tabs anymore and will instantly attempt to download as a WebP.

So, now I’m trying (and failing) to find an alternative (if there is even one anymore). I’ve tried some extensions, disabling WebP in Firefox (which, funnily enough, doesn’t disable WebP), disabling WebP in the registry, using the CMD line, messing around with the URL, etc.

Also, simply changing the file extension type or copying an image directly into something like paint or any other image editor does not give you the original image.

It’s probably a long shot to ask this, but does anyone know an actual way around this?
