We recently went out for our anniversary dinner. A day before I informed her that I was short on money but still wanted to go to the dinner and asked if we could split the bill. She was hesitant but finally agreed. On the day, when the bill came, I put down half and she made a fuss saying that I should pay and treat her for our anniversary.
