I recently picked up an xreal air and after some tinkering I feel like there’s a simple solution here to watch VR videos on this device.

You can hook the headset up to a windows pc and turn on 3D mode and use phoenixheadtracker to control the mouse with your head movement.

So using Whirlgig with certain settings to allow the mouse to control looking around like you would with a VR headset it seems like you could easily allow this to play VR videos like you’re looking at them through a VR headset. I haven’t quite figured out the settings for it to look great yet but this seems definitely possible as an option for VR video viewing on a PC. Heresphere might also work.
