So I’m relatively new to riding a road bike. But I have an expensive taste of sorts and ended up with a domane for a comfier ride but I have a few questions.
- I’ve been looking into new wheels/tires because of a few buddies that said that’s best bang for buck thing to buy. But I am curious as to what tires I should get as 1200$ carbon wheels I feel is aggressive for the distance I can achieve. Something like a pzero? Corsa pro? Or just stick with stock stuff.
- As I’m new to this I started 10 miles rides (16k) but I’m more athletic than that so I’ve been doing 25-30 mile rides (32-40ish k) but I feel like I’ve hit a wall is it just my athleticism or do I need to pre plan more calories before or during ride? I see a lot of people doing 50-100miles in my area so I know it’s possible.
- My next question is with doing those miles what about rest days or do you just ride day after day?
- This one is a bit general but any sort of other tips or things I should purchase besides the basic kit/tools?
