Pod relevance: Internet bullshit.

I was surprised to hear Jameela Jamil on the Sporkful podcast this week, and it made me think there should probably be an episode of Blocked and Reported about her. This legendary thread by Tracie Egan Morrissey has the receipts, but basically she’s an activist for various things, a vigorous competitor in the oppression Olympics, and a very entertaining pathological liar.

Disability activists say that if she has Ehlers Danlos that would explain all her appearing and disappearing ailments, which may be true. But it doesn’t explain how she, for example, was a successful TV presenter in the UK but then when she moved to America she had only $17 in her bank account and was therefore forced to steal a pile of Wagyu steaks from a party at Judd Apatow’s house by gripping them between her thighs, and then knocked Al Pacino to the ground in her rush to escape. I don’t know why Dan Pashman didn’t challenge her clearly fictitious story on his podcast.

She’s also been supposedly chased by swarms of killer bees multiple times causing multiple car accidents, etc etc. I’m really not sure why she’s still being taken seriously as an activist.
