TLDR; I saw this doughnut-shaped flying object and I’m curious if there is more info on it or other witnesses here. I have gathered a lot of filmed footage that captured the exact same thing (see end of post).
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, I sat on a jetty with two friends out on an island in the Stockholm archipelago.
It was a sunny day with clear visibility. At 15:50 we saw an object come flying about 100 meters into the air, over the bay. It appeared from behind the treetops on one end of the island and flew in a steady direction over the water in front of us. When I saw it I couldn’t make out what it was. I asked my two friends but neither of them could categorise it. I thought it was a helicopter at first but a friend said no and pointed to a real helicopter that we could see flying past the island in a completely different direction.
When the flying object was about 200 meters away, we could clearly see its color and shape. It had no wings, it had no propellers, and no obvious “exhaust” or any traces left behind in its trajectory. We didn’t hear any sound from it.
The object had the shape of a tire or a “doughnut”—it was very clear that it had a hole in the middle. The size was somewhere between a car tire and a tractor tire. The object was constantly rotating around its own axis, as if it was gyrating around its own X, Y, and Z axes simultaneously. Despite this rotation, it kept its relatively straight and very stable path over the water. It did not “wobble” in any way. There was some wind that day and it was clear that it was blowing over the water, but the object didn’t appear to be affected by wind at all.
The color was dark gray but as it spun on its axis we could clearly see how it reflected the sun at certain angles.
After about 10-15 seconds it disappeared behind some other treetops just east of where we were sitting. None of the three of us could understand what this was and we kept looking around the sky for new tracks.
About 10 seconds passed and we saw it appear on the very other side from where we had seen it. Think 180 degrees from where it had disappeared, relative to us. It reappeared behind some other treetops where it appeared for about 5 seconds—still spinning—before disappearing again. Either it was another such object (completely identical) that we saw the second time, or it was the same object. The strange thing was how incredibly quickly it had moved from the first time we saw it (disappearing behind the treetops) to the second location.
That was all we saw. Ever since then, we have been completely amazed by what we saw. We ruled out it being a drone considering how steady it was flying while gyrating/rotating like it did. And it wasn’t a balloon either considering how it flew so steadily despite the wind. The way it moved didn’t seem to obey the laws of physics, quite simply. None of us had time to film the event as it happened too quickly and we were so baffled from what we saw.
Perhaps 10 minutes after the incident, a large thunderstorm swept past over us, rain pouring down. The weather was local and disappeared after a while.
I have never seen anything like it in my life. But once I started googling for other testimonies when I got home, a lot of videos came up that captured EXACTLY the same thing as what we saw. With exactly the same movement pattern, color and shape. Films both recent and from many years ago, from all over the world. Take a look below…
