For the first 500 miles my clipless shoes (Bontrager Velocis with Shimano SPD-SL pedals and yellow cleats) were perfectly comfortable, now I have a painful spot that develops under the fourth mtp joint in the ball of my right foot. Are shoes only supposed to last 500 miles? Or are there pads that can help? otherwise I love them, and up to now have been able to eliminate painful spots by adjusting cleat position. Any help is welcome!
