A few months back i installed a door sensor on my front door and never did anything with it.

This weekend, we are doing a little getaway and I hadn’t gotten a notice from my pet sitter by 8 pm.

Right from my phone, I was able to first check that my front door had never opened since I left and I was able to setup an automation to notify me when the door did open.

I sent a message to the pet sitter and was able to verify that my pets were cared for when they sent someone over.

This seems like a super small thing for HA but it really made a HUGE difference to my stress levels!

Sometimes big wins come from small things. 😊
