This show is downright amazing. In a sea of rinse and repeat cookie cutter isekais and tropey poorly written fanservice animes, Yatagarasu is concerned with actually telling an original story. The world, the characters, and the plot are so rich and complex. The animation (specifically environmental stills) is stunning. In my opinion, this is the closest thing anime has had to something like Game of Thrones. And yet it gets very little viewership. Compared to something like Frieren, I cannot comprehend why Yatagarasu does not have similar hype.
