Thank you. From the bottom of my animal-loving heart, thank you. After learning that landlords in New Zealand are not allowed to ask for any kind of pet bond or additional security deposit, I have an even greater appreciation for the few kind souls who are willing to shoulder that risk to allow renting families to have a home with their pets. I am so glad that there is coming legislation to allow for pet bonds, because it seems like a fair way to offset that burden. Until then, THANK YOU, PET-FRIENDLY LANDLORDS!
