I often finish work at around 1am and drive into town. Recently I’ve been parking in Swinburne St car park in Gateshead [£4 for a full day] but last night my tyres got slashed there, so I don’t feel comfortable leaving my car there anymore.

Anywhere else I can park in town that’s not extortionate? The Multi-Storeys are good but they all lock at either 10pm or midnight so I can’t leave my car in them. Paying for on-street parking would financially cripple Elon Musk.

Any ideas?
