After 4 hours and 30 minutes I got through to someone in McDonald’s support. The customer support guy took my name, email address, and the zip code of the store where I ordered.

He then generated a code for me on the spot over the phone. I had the guy remain on the line while I actually redeemed the code, and when I tried to redeem the code it said it was already in use. The guy had to generate a second code for me and the second code worked.

Just a heads up, redeem and verify the code while you have them on the line as they might be already used codes.
