Hi there! My Minecraft hyperfixation has returned to me once more, and as I was making a modpack in time for the spooky season I had an idea. Someone else has probably thought of the same thing before, but what if there was an addon for Origins that incorporated Alex’s Caves? Here’s a few origins that I thought of, feedback and more ideas are heavily appreciated!

RADGHOUL (Toxic Caves) The last remaining “humans” from what was once a bustling society in its industrial revolution. Due to being exposed to certain amounts of radiation, they have mutated into sapient undead creatures that possess the ability to quickly regenerate parts of themselves.

  • You’re immune to the irradiated effect.
  • Your body is immune to acid, but your armor isn’t.
  • You will inflict the irradiated effect onto any enemy hit with a melee weapon.
  • You regenerate health faster than average, but your hunger bar drains faster.
  • Normal food cannot sustain you. You can only eat “bad foods”, such as rotten flesh, poison potatoes, and radgills. However, you can still eat rations of Spelunkies, Slam, and Green Soylent from around the Toxic Caves.
  • Since you are an undead creature, you will burn in the daylight.

DEEP ONE HYBRID (Abyssal Chasms) Descendants of humans and deep ones that are well-adjusted to living in the depths of the ocean.

  • You’re amphibious, you can breathe on land and in water. You also have normal mining speed underwater.
  • You swim faster in deep waters.
  • You can use the riptide ability without a trident.
  • You’re bioluminescent, which unfortunately makes it easier for hostile mobs to spot you in the dark.
  • On land, you can’t be without water for more than 4 minutes. You either have to find a body of water or drink water bottles to prevent dying of dehydration.
  • You’re weaker in hot biomes, and you dehydrate faster in them as well.
  • You spawn in the ocean.

RAPTORFOLK (Primordial Caves) An ancient race of sapient humanoid dinosaurs. They are excitable and nimble, and are much stronger in packs.

  • You’re very agile, giving you a faster running speed, as well as faster base attack speed.
  • You have the ability to ambush and pounce onto your foes.
  • You can sneak and go invisible when you’re on low health.
  • Fighting alongside fellow raptorfolk gives you a strength boost!
  • You are shorter than average, and have less health (-2 hearts.)
  • You’re a carnivore, you can only eat meat (with the exception of tree stars and serene salads.)
  • You’re not used to being in small claustrophobic spaces, therefore you’re weaker in them.

HOLE DWELLER (Forlorn Hollows) A humanoid race of mysterious origin that lurks in the shadows underground, possibly cousins of the Underzealots.

  • You have the ability to burrow into the ground for a short amount of time, similar to an Underzealot/Corrodent.
  • You are an excellent digger, giving you a faster base mining speed.
  • You have natural night vision, however you are not immune to the darkness effect.
  • You’re blind in the daylight, and weakened/disoriented by light-emitting blocks (except for lanterns and candles.)
  • You spawn underground.

As for the Magnetic Caves, I’m pretty stumped. The only thing I really thought of was a sort of built-in lite version of the Galena Gauntlet, enabling you to use iron tools and weapons from a distance. Once again, ideas are heavily appreciated! I hope the concepts I have so far are well-balanced and interesting :D
