So I just recently bought an emc 100-563-984 drive shelf and it has the EMC 303-108-000E “controllers” I think they’re called.

But I just wanted to confirm how big of an HBA card I will need to properly use this.

Here is an image of the back of the unit from the listing.

I am considering one of these HBAs if anybody could offer any advice for proper usage!

If anybody has a better suggestion for an HBA or on where to buy one Id appreciate it but I mainly just want to confirm if I need to plug all 4 of the 4x SAS links into a 16e HBA or if I can get away with just two into an 8e card.
