Hi! My 3 brothers and I are working with a Polish law firm to get our dual citizenship since our grandparents are from Poland. My oldest half brother is biracial but identifies as black and is not very light-skinned. He’s a little nervous about how he will be treated in Poland because of what we hear. We still have family in Poland but not many speak English and some of them have made comments about his complexion and ancestry and questioned if he was actually my mom’s kid. I’m wondering how you all think a black American with Polish citizenship will get treated in Poland. I’m fully white and was embraced entirely by my cousins and relatives in Poland for what it’s worth but he’s worried and that has me worrying too.

Thanks for your feedback on my question and we are all excited to get our citizenship hopefully in the next 6 months. We hope to visit Poland together in the next couple of years together as siblings.
