Sound pretty tame, I know, but trust me it’s a bit worse than that. This happened last year. I was flying long distance from the US to Sweden for a holiday. I’ve had plenty of flying experience but I’ve always hated flights as I get sick extremely easily and also tend to get anxious on the plane. My boyfriend sat behind me because we couldn’t get seats together, so I was stuck in the middle seat between a woman and another guy. An hour and a half before landing, I decided to order an instant soup cup because I wasn’t feeling good and pretty hungry. I downed it and half an hour later, the plane began to descend. I was already feeling the anxiety that had lingered for the entire flight. It was extremely bumpy and the turbulence was getting really bad. My stomach was churning and I prayed for the best, but unfortunately, I felt everything in my stomach rising up my throat. I immediately grabbed the vomit bag that was in front of me and within 10 seconds all of the soup that I ingested was out. I couldn’t really see what the reactions around me were, but I think they were pretty shocked. I kept going for another 20 seconds until I was done. I was shaking at this point, hands trembling while I hold onto the bag of bile. I stared into nothing, horrified, I have never done this before in my 10+ years of flying. But it’s okay, it’s in the bag, and I’m fine, right? And then, the worst thing that could possibly happen at that moment happened, the plane shook violently and I lost grip of the bag. Oh fuck. The bag dropped and spilt all over the floor infront of me, landing on my shoes, the woman beside me’s legs and her shoes. I could’ve died there and then. We were both lost for words but I tried to apologise as best as I can while she gave me some wet wipes to clean up and she took off her shoes to clean it. The guy beside me attempted to move away from me as best as he could, he was lucky to have escape unscathed. It took the entirety of the landing duration to clean up as best as we could. I apologised to her again after the flight landed and she said “It’s okay I work at an ER, I’ve seen a lot worse.” Props to her for handling it so well and not going insane at me, ER workers are built different. Yes I did tell and apologise profusely to the flight attendants after the flight. Definitely was a horrible start to a good holiday.

TLDR; Threw up on long distance flight in the bag but dropped the bag onto someone else.
