This happened awhile ago but it’s worth sharing if it brightens someone’s day.

My husband and I were flying from the UK to Canada via Gatwick with our then 4 year old twin girls.

All was good, we were just chilling in the little family area in the middle of the airport before going to our gate. One of the twins needed to go to the bathroom so I left my husband with the bags and one of the kids while I took the other to the bathroom.

But the women’s bathroom line was HUGE. My daughter couldn’t wait, she really had to go and was doing the pee dance beside me. I checked the disabled toilet but it was locked, no luck.

I rush back to the family area and tell my husband that the women’s bathroom is too busy and she can’t hold it, he’ll have to take her.

No problem, off they go down the airport to the men’s room and I settle down with our other daughter and all of our bags to wait for them.

I wasn’t waiting very long when I hear a commotion down the terminal and my husband goes SPRINTING past me, daughter over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, yelling “GET THE BAGS!!! GET THE BAAAAAGS!!”

Our flight isn’t even boarding for another hour, and now I’m in a full panic wondering what in the world is happening. I grab our daughter and all of our bags and start hustling down to our gate to find the two of them just sitting there in wide-eyed silence.

Me: what the hell happened??

Him: We went to the men’s bathroom but it was also really busy and all of the stalls were full

Me: so??

Him: well she really, really had to go

Me: yeah?

Him: so I had to do what I had to do

Me: which was?

Him: I pulled her pants down, picked her up in a sitting position and backed her over the urinal so she could pee

Me: okay that’s funny, but it’s not that bad

Him: it wasn’t that bad until she started pushing.

And this is why we are never again returning to Gatwick.😅

TL;DR: my husband and daughter had an unfortunate incident in the airport bathroom
