It seems like everywhere now there is news of corporations going to extreme lengths to catch the most obscure pirating sites or preservation of years old media.

Anime sites being put on the US government watchlist, internet archive being sued for 50+ year old record music as well as books, companies having lists of 1000’s of manga pirating sites they are threatening… I have never seen such a mass worldwide crack down on piracy or just free media in general. I may have not been paying attention or maybe misremembering but is it just me thats thinking this?
