Hey!
I’m a Greek that’s been very much interested in the Armenian culture for a while now, and I was wondering (and I’m not sure if this is the right word for what I mean to express) about what sort of casual and non-race/ethnicity/sexuality-related prejudices exist within the Armenian culture. I’ll add a few examples from my own culture below, so I can specify what it is that I’m curious about:
- When your eye is twitching, you’ll probably see someone that you haven’t seen in a long time.
- If you’re ticklish, you’re a jealous person.
- If you step on feces, you’ll be getting money.
- Seeing a baby in your dream means you’re going to face tragedy in real life.
- If your nose is itchy, you’re going to get beat up.
The list goes on and on, of course, but that’s basically what I’m curious about. I’ve noticed a lot of overlap when it comes to such ‘prejudices’ in different cultures over the years, so I’m curious what Armenia’s take on this topic is.
Accepting any and all kinds of ‘beliefs’, as long as they’re not of an offensive nature.
