It can be as simple or complicated as the child is comfortable with, but something they can remember.

And it is key to practice, these action with your child every so often so they know how to react and behave in those situations.

Of course you should also be discussing how a child should handle emergency situations should they come up like fires, an bad injury, or damaged property. But starting the family password when they are able to talk and comprehend right from wrong is when to start these life lessons.
