I am building a home and will have tile in bathrooms and engineered wood in hallways/bedrooms.

In every house I’ve lived in there has always been a transition piece above the wood/tile, usually in the color of one or the other, to serve as a transition.

In this setup I’m going to be able to have the tile and wood be the same level. With that said, is it better to forgo the transition piece and just have the wood meet the tile in an even way?
