On this date in 1936, the first AP Poll was released for college football. In the years since, other polls have been created but the AP Poll has stood the test of time to continue to be used by fans, networks, and other news agencies.

For reference, the first poll is here. I thought this was a pretty significant thing in college football history, basically shaping the sport into what it is today.
