I was always a console gamer all the way to 2023 when i got my first pc and now own a pc and an oled deck. I always got hyped for AAA games the most , but latley I might get hyped for 2-3 a years mostly. I still love halo, borderlands, doom , diablo, etc. But in the past year I realized I get way more hyped for smaller games and even their dlc. There’s something incredible to be able to get dozens or even hundreds of hours of pure joy out of a couple dollars of price. I always remember this quote “price is what you pay, value what you get” and games like brotato, factorio, risk of rain, binding of isaac , stardew valley, it’s mindblowing that for so little money we get so much, free updates , and this smaller teams aren’t predatory, sell us hype on trailers to then give terrible and unfinished products. I believe the indie development really respects us and i really like that. This friday we get Black ops 6 which I might pick up , it’s a big if , on the other hand, I can’t wait to pick up brotato dlc this friday as well!
