Recently there was a story of horrid animal abuse in Avshar, Ararat. The miscreant locked a cat inside a cage and was poking or chocking the cat. While he was torturing the cat his wife was recording the horrifying scene.

I spoke with my grandpa and he said that the miscreant also made his child partake in the crime because apparently the cat had eaten their doves (it is common for people to have doves in the villages). And it is common for cats to hunt for food (duh!).

My grandpa also told me that he was arrested and detained. There was surge of anger amongst normal people, which then pressured the police to take action. We don’t know if justice will be served in the judicial system but he is certainly a pariah in the society.
