I’m dedicating these next two years to saving as much as I can to put some money down on land in North Carolina for a homestead. I currently work as a certified clinical medical assistant and waitress on weekends. I plan on using the tuition reimbursement program to become a psychiatric nurse to increase my earnings. I am now starting from scratch. Owner financing seems to be the only feasible option with my finances and socioeconomic background. I’m a bit open to splitting acres with someone but don’t know anyone who I’d trust enough to make a business deal with. I’d like advise/insight from landowners who purchased land while not financially well off. What can I do within this year to get closer to my goal? How are the prospects of owning land looking? What other options can I explore to own land? How do I go about networking with landowners?

Thank you.
