Getting rid of exploits or boring strategies is good, the issue is that those were the only viable ways to get past the bigger problems right now.
High rounds tend to be unfun because you have to spam Mutant Injection or Chopper Gunner, not because they are too strong, but because it is literally the only way to kill the bosses.
Simply put, I think there are 3 things they need to do.
1: adjust the spawns of enemies. There should never be a scenario with 6 Manglers and 2 Abominations on-screen at once. This is super common in Co-op matches I play. Ideally, there should never be more than 1 Mangler on-screen per player in match. There definitely shouldn’t be more than 1 Elite enemy on-screen period.
- Weapons just aren’t dealing enough damage. One of the best parts of CW was that enemy weapon was viable in high rounds because of the damage they did. Simply increasing the damage buff to tier 3 and maybe tier 2 PaP would go a long way at helping these guns reliably kill in higher rounds.
- Armor on zombies is just too much. Part of the reason some enemies feel tankier is the huge reduction of damage for several weapons. If armor was toned down in any way, it would help miles better.
There are some other things, but these are probably the 3 most important things to tweak, I’d say in order of importance as well.
Really hoping they fix these before DLC1 drops, as I feel these are fairly easy changes that most can agree on.
