Ever since I landed on Fedora I have not once thought “man, I wish this was better”. If I want to run .debs I use distrobox, if I want to try another distro I just run it in a vm(I suggest trying Damn Small Linux and Slackware). I don’t want to completely change my entire OS for the fun if it anymore.
Fedora just has a nice balance of being stable and cutting edge.
I do think that for completely new linux users, mint, pop! and ubuntu(yes yes I know snaps are shitty) are better because of specific things that fedora does differently, but hell.
I upgraded from 40 to 41 without backing up my data and everything went fine. Should I have backed up my data? Absolutely and I will when going from 41 to 42. Programs, apps and some games are a LITTLE faster, Infact I think Vulkan performance got slightly improved too.
No Linux distro is perfect but damn Fedora is good.
